We can always find reasons for not pushing ourselves to achieve our goals and two of the key excuses we come up with are:
Over the coming weeks I will look at how you can set and achieve your goals, but to start, here are some inspiring examples of people who did not let their age get in the way.
Harriette Thompson Marathon runner
In 2015 92-year-old cancer survivor Harriette Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, entered the record books by becoming the oldest woman to finish a marathon. Harriette Thompson completed the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon in San Diego in 7hr 24min 36sec.

Japanese mountaineer Yuichiro Miura, became the oldest person to reach the summit of Mount Everest at the age of 80 in 2013 , Prior to reaching the summit of Mount Everest for a third time, Miura had four heart surgeries before his latest attempt.
